About the position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Ingleside Communities is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the clinical unit, ensuring the growth of facility and community resources. This role involves providing comprehensive standards, practices, and programs that meet the needs of the facility, staff, and residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Manage training, development, and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated workforce.
• Develop and facilitate growth within the Nursing Department and conduct performance evaluations.
• Perform assessments and develop appropriate plans of care based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Monitor care delivery by staff and ensure compliance with established policies.
• Document care according to current standards and established policies.
• Work independently with strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Model effective communication between residents, families, staff, and the community.
• Identify potentially unsafe situations and respond appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, or County regulations and BHS policies.

Requirements

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin (in good standing).
• At least two years of experience in long-term care.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in long-term care.
• Skills in leadership and communication.
• CPR certification.
