About the position

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will oversee the nursing department at one of our life plan communities, ensuring that residents receive the quality care they deserve. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing and the building administrator to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department. Your role will involve clinical operations oversight, staffing, managing the nursing department budget, and addressing family concerns. You will be expected to engage with staff and residents actively, building relationships and fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department.
• Work with the administrator to ensure quality care for residents.
• Oversee clinical operations and staffing.
• Manage the nursing department budget.
• Address family concerns and ensure effective communication.
• Build relationships with staff and residents.

Requirements

• Nursing degree and current Ohio RN license required.
• Additional education in nursing administration or management courses required.
• Specialized training in the care of geriatric or rehabilitative patients required.
• One year experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or healthcare facility required.
• Three years experience working as a nurse in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related healthcare facility required.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
