About the position
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing operations within a healthcare facility. This full-time position requires an RN to ensure quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective communication with staff and administration. The ADON will also be involved in training and evaluating nursing staff, scheduling, and maintaining infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing in daily operations.
- Train and evaluate nursing staff.
- Monitor nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with administration regarding regulatory matters.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other departments to maintain good rapport.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervising experience required.
- Ability to commute to Ashland, MA 01721 required.
- Ability to relocate to Ashland, MA 01721 before starting work required.
