About the position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (Utilization and Case Management) at Jai Medical Systems is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Utilization and Case Management Department. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with policies, managing staff conducting utilization reviews, and driving quality member outcomes through effective resource management. The Assistant Director will also resolve escalated concerns and monitor the application of established medical criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction within the Utilization and Case Management Department.
• Conduct utilization reviews and case management oversight.
• Resolve escalated concerns and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist in managing the Utilization and Case Management Department.
• Drive quality member outcomes through effective resource use.
• Monitor consistent application of established medical criteria.
• Provide management dashboards reflecting performance metrics.

Requirements

• Current valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in Case Management and/or Utilization Review preferred.
• Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred.
• InterQual experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.
• CPR Certification.
