About the position

The Assistant Director of Utilization Management and Nursing at Jai Medical Systems plays a pivotal role in leading the Utilization and Case Management Department. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving quality member outcomes through effective resource management. The Assistant Director will also handle escalated concerns and provide management dashboards to reflect departmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight within the Utilization and Case Management Department.
• Conduct utilization review and case management, resolving escalated concerns.
• Ensure policy compliance and monitor the application of established medical criteria.
• Drive quality member outcomes through effective and efficient use of resources.
• Provide management dashboards reflecting performance of expected processes and operational compliance.

Requirements

• Current valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 3 years supervising staff.
• Experience in Case Management and/or Utilization Review preferred.
• Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred.
• InterQual experience preferred.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience in managing multiple priorities.
• Knowledgeable about all product lines served.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.
• CPR Certified.
