About the position
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at AristaCare is a leadership role aimed at enhancing the quality of care provided to residents. This position involves supporting the Director of Nursing in managing the clinical team, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and fostering effective communication among nursing staff. The ADON will play a crucial role in staff training, infection control, and maintaining adequate staffing levels to meet residents' needs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the utmost quality and patient-centered care of residents
- Coordinate infection control
- Plan, organize, and implement training programs/in-services for clinical staff
- Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
- Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of residents, which may include recruitment
- Oversee the process for competency evaluations and corrective action plans.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NJ
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a clinical setting is preferred
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in long-term care/sub-acute setting is preferred
- Infection Control: 1 year (Preferred)
- Must be computer literate and experience with EMR preferred.
