In addition to strategic planning, the Assistant Director will assist in project management, overseeing the implementation of numerous projects each year that involve installations and upgrades to security systems. This includes maintaining project timelines and budgets while mitigating risks to the university community. The role also involves application management and equipment maintenance, working closely with the Technical Support Specialist to ensure the operational effectiveness of various security systems, including access control and video management systems. The Assistant Director will serve as a liaison between different university departments and manage vendor relationships to support the Physical Security Program. The position also encompasses asset management and quality assurance, requiring regular audits of security systems to ensure their functionality and accuracy. The Assistant Director will supervise a team, providing direction and support to ensure the successful execution of the department's objectives.
