About the position

The Assistant Director of Research Compliance Education at the University of California, Berkeley, plays a crucial role in developing and implementing educational programs focused on the Responsible Conduct of Research (RECR). Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for the Responsible Conduct of Research education program.
  • Provide education and training in Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research (RECR) through various methods.
  • Develop participant tracking system and provide reports on program completion.
  • Stay current with federal educational requirements and adjust training materials as needed.
  • Partner with academic unit leadership to ensure alignment with training objectives.
  • Advise campus administration on training needs and make recommendations.
  • Review offerings and instructional documentation to ensure relevance to faculty and trainees.
  • Enhance the overall faculty experience with research compliance education.
  • Conduct outreach to promote program activities and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements.
  • Evaluate and oversee the strategic design and implementation of relevant tools and learning opportunities.
