About the position

The Assistant Director of Summer Camp Operations at the Kummer Center for STEM Education will oversee the planning and execution of summer camp programs. This role involves collaborating with various departments to develop new camps, managing existing programs, and ensuring compliance with youth protection policies. The Assistant Director will also handle budgeting, marketing strategies, and sponsorship opportunities to enhance camp attendance and funding.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee summer camp operations, including existing programs and new programs.
  • Provide managerial supervision of coordinators and camp counselors.
  • Work with departments to envision and build new summer camps based on current data and feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications to ensure appropriate advertisement for summer camps.
  • Identify funding sources and develop funding resources for existing and proposed programs and/or services.
  • Oversee budgets of summer camps and work with departments.
  • Work with corporate partners for scholarships and sponsorships.
  • Understand how Slate, PayPath, and Google Docs are utilized for programming.
  • Collaborate with the Kummer Center for STEM Education during appropriate, overlapping events.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
