About the position

The Assistant Director at Little Sunshine Preschool in Alhambra is a pivotal role responsible for managing staff, overseeing daily operations, and addressing issues with parents and students. Responsibilities

  • Manage staff and oversee daily operations of the preschool.
  • Handle problems and concerns raised by parents and students.
  • Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of educational programs.
  • Assist in staff training and development.

Requirements

  • 12 core semester units in early childhood education/development.
  • 3 semester units in Administration or Staff Relations.
  • 4 years of teaching experience in a supervised group Child Care Center or possess Site Supervisor Permit or Director's Permit.
  • Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Current Mandated Reporter Certification.
  • Pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Mandarin/Cantonese/English is preferred.
  • Experience working with children aged 2-5 years.
