About the position

The Supervisory Procurement Analyst (Assistant Director, Procurement) plays a critical role in the Procurement Staff of the Office of Administration for the Criminal Division. This position is responsible for overseeing procurement and contracting services, advising top management on contractual matters, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The Assistant Director supervises daily operations, manages complex procurement projects, and serves as a subject matter expert on the organization's automated procurement system.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the day-to-day operations of the Criminal Division's Procurement Staff.
  • Advise the Executive Office and section leadership on contract administration actions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the automated procurement system.
  • Oversee all stages of the procurement process and lead the team in establishing contractual strategies.
  • Manage the program for procuring expert witness services.
  • Direct projects that support new or emerging requirements, including the life-cycle process of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and recommend implementations to the Director and Executive Office.
  • Oversee compliance of international procurement activities with regulations and Department policy.
  • Manage the Division's Contracting Office's Representative (COR) program.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in relevant fields such as accounting, business, finance, or law.
  • Certification at DAWIA Level II or FAC-C Level II in Contracting.
  • Four years of experience in contracting or related positions, including one year at the GS-13 level.
  • Experience in developing procurement plans for large and complex projects and providing contract analysis recommendations.
