About the position
The Assistant Director, Project & Instructional Resources at UC Davis is responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives and operations that support the educational goals of the Graduate School of Management (GSM). This role involves overseeing a portfolio of projects, ensuring compliance across multiple locations, and acting on behalf of the Senior Director in their absence. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to effectively implement the school's mission and engage with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional initiatives and operations to support the educational goals of the GSM.
- Oversee a portfolio of school-based projects promoting the GSM to campus and the public.
- Implement and utilize innovative technologies for project execution.
- Conduct project implementations, consultations, evaluations, research, and analysis.
- Act on behalf of the Senior Director in their absence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience providing staff and instructional operational support in a university setting.
- Experience in research/instructional resources allocation and management.
- Advanced computer skills with technologies such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to gather and analyze information and develop recommendations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience writing complex summaries and reports with strong editing skills.
- Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with safety policies and principles, including ergonomic assessments.
- Customer service orientation and ability to present complex information clearly.
