About the position

The Assistant Director of Strategic Marketing for the School of Education at Loyola University Maryland is responsible for planning, coordinating, administering, and analyzing comprehensive marketing strategies for the School's programs. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the branding and marketing efforts of the School of Education, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate comprehensive marketing strategies for the School of Education programs.
  • Develop new marketing campaigns and initiatives in collaboration with the strategic marketing team and associate dean.
  • Contribute to the annual marketing and media plans for the School of Education.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and execute the annual publicity/marketing plan for graduate programs.
  • Develop and write content for web, advertising, and other publications.
  • Prepare and coordinate the production of marketing support materials.
  • Work closely with graduate recruitment staff to implement marketing tactics for student inquiries and enrollment yield.
  • Identify and communicate student and faculty testimonials for marketing purposes.
  • Implement online and traditional marketing plans.
  • Build and maintain graduate program web properties.
  • Act as a liaison between the office of marketing and communications and the School of Education.
  • Advise faculty and staff on publications and public relations approaches.
  • Develop marketing reports and share with stakeholders.
  • Plan end-of-term/year review meetings with consulting partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Web communications experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and superior time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Loyola's mission as a Jesuit, Catholic institution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to industry conferences and events.
  • Willingness to support other Loyola events which may require occasional evening or weekend hours.
