About the position

The Assistant Director of Warehouse Operations at Niagara Bottling is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with the organization's supply chain strategy. This role involves utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS), managing inventory, and fostering a safe and positive work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments to optimize warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all warehouse operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) functionality and business analytics to align with business goals.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse.
  • Manage all aspects of inventory from raw materials through finished goods.
  • Coordinate technical support for site or network operations and systems.
  • Lead company initiatives to improve WMS functionality and perform advanced configuration of the WMS.
  • Establish operational procedures for verification of shipments and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other functions.
  • Manage month-end inventory and cycle counts to ensure timely reconciliation of physical inventories.
  • Build and maintain a safe work culture and oversee training for forklift operators.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience as a Distribution Center Manager or Senior Operations Manager in a large fast-paced distribution environment.
  • 4 years of experience managing a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • 4 years of experience in the warehouse or logistics field.
  • 4 years of experience managing IT systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 years of experience as a Distribution Center Manager.
  • 6 years of experience in the warehouse or logistics field.
  • 6 years of experience managing people/projects.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
