About the position

The Assistant Editor role at Territory Studio involves supporting the post-production team in creating and delivering audio-visual assets for creative advertising projects. This position is integral to the startup environment of the new Los Angeles location, focusing on high-quality work that aligns with the overarching campaign strategy. Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for editorial use, including transcoding to offline codec and maintaining organization of items received.
• Assist editors in creating breakdowns, assemblies, cutdowns, and other creative support.
• Prepare cue sheets, scripts, shot lists, and other documentation for clients.
• Manage postings of offline cuts to clients and create delivery preps for locked spots to send to finishers.
• Address technical issues related to file formats, editorial software, asset management, and hardware to support workflow and client deliverables.
• Stay updated on emerging tools, industry trends, and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Editor, preferably in a creative AV agency.
• Strong familiarity with offline/online post-production workflows.
• Demonstrated experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience using Digital Asset Management Systems (e.g., Box).
• Experience using Project Management and Collaboration Tools (e.g., Frame.io).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to foresee workflow bottlenecks and take initiative to implement solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe After Effects and AVID Media Composer is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for trailers and entertainment marketing.
