The Assistant Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting project teams to develop world-class designs for a diverse range of projects, including power, process, corporate, healthcare, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. This position involves collaboration with the project team throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring that electrical plans are adapted to meet budget constraints, design factors, and client needs. The Assistant Electrical Engineer will assist in the electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through to design completion, contributing to the successful execution of various engineering projects. In this role, the Assistant Electrical Engineer will be responsible for modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects, which may include power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, and governmental and military facilities. The engineer will also assist in designing electrical components that align with the project requirements set forth by project managers. A fundamental understanding of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry is essential for this position. The Assistant Electrical Engineer will conduct research and compile project-related data as required by project managers, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, the engineer will assist in correcting and updating drawings provided by senior engineers, verifying that all corrections are made using multiple CAD-related software tools. Client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration for the design of various facilities will also be part of the responsibilities. Field inspections, measurements, and calculations for both public and private clients will be performed as needed, along with other duties as assigned, all while complying with company policies and standards.
