The Assistant Electrical Engineer will be involved in the design of high voltage electrical substations, specifically those operating between 13,000 to 500,000 volts. This role encompasses a variety of design areas including substation layout, power system analysis, and control/relay systems, catering to a diverse clientele across the country. The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams to develop world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments across multiple sectors such as power, process, corporate, healthcare, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. In this position, the Assistant Electrical Engineer will engage with the project team throughout the design and construction phases, making necessary adjustments to electrical plans based on budget constraints, design factors, or specific client needs. Responsibilities include assisting in the electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through to design completion, modifying and reviewing production drawings for various projects, and designing electrical components that meet project requirements as outlined by project managers. The role also involves applying foundational knowledge of electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry. The Assistant Electrical Engineer will assist in research and compile project-related data as required, correct and update drawings provided by senior engineers, and support client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration. Additionally, field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients may be part of the responsibilities. The position requires compliance with all company policies and standards, ensuring a high level of professionalism and quality in all deliverables.
