About the position

The position involves managing event operations associated with banquets and event services, ensuring high-quality service delivery and guest satisfaction. The role includes overseeing the setup of event spaces, leading shift teams, and maintaining compliance with brand standards. The candidate will also be responsible for training staff, managing inventories, and assisting with financial and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions.
  • Totals charges for group functions and prepares checks for payment.
  • Verifies banquet rooms and restaurants are ready for service.
  • Inspects cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver before use.
  • Checks in with guests to verify satisfaction.
  • Sets tables according to event type and service standards.
  • Communicates meal requirements, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
  • Supports compliance with brand standards and legal obligations.
  • Coordinates and leads daily stand-up meetings and pre-shift briefings.
  • Communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes.
  • Assists senior managers with financial and administrative duties.
  • Strives to improve guest/event and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
  • If no standard educational background, at least 3 years of experience in two areas of hospitality including food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, or housekeeping.
