About the position

The Assistant Executive Director plays a crucial role in managing the office functions of the community, including financial operations such as accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and maintaining resident and employee files. This position supports the Executive Director and is essential for ensuring smooth administrative operations within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage office functions including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Maintain resident and employee files for the community.
  • Assist the Executive Director in daily operations and decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health requirements and conduct background checks as necessary.
  • Establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and staff.

Requirements

  • Experience as an office manager in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Two-year degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and MS Office is required.
  • Experience with Yardi or any accounting software preferred.
  • Solid mathematical skills and strong organizational skills are necessary.
  • High level of effective communication skills, both written and oral.
