The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service at Drury Hotels. Under the general supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, this position involves assisting with various functions in the housekeeping and laundry areas of the hotel. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that exceptional service levels are maintained, contributing to both guest satisfaction and team member satisfaction. This role requires a commitment to quality, as it encompasses the upkeep of guest rooms, laundry, public areas, meeting spaces, department storage areas, and work areas. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper must uphold a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality in all interactions with team members, customers, and co-workers. In addition to maintaining cleanliness, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper is expected to lead the housekeeping team effectively, ensuring that all team members are aligned with Drury's quality expectations. This includes training and mentoring staff, overseeing daily operations, and implementing best practices in cleaning and laundry services. The role also requires a thorough understanding of cleaning methods, the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals, and the operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums and commercial washers and dryers. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is a key player in fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of excellence within the housekeeping department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper with various functions in the housekeeping and laundry areas of the hotel.
  • Maintain exceptional service levels through guest and team member satisfaction.
  • Ensure high levels of quality are maintained in guest rooms, laundry, public areas, meeting spaces, and work areas.
  • Lead the Housekeeping team to achieve quality, cleanliness, and Drury standards.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping staff to uphold company quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of methods of cleaning guest rooms and operation of laundry services.
  • Knowledge of the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • General knowledge of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers, and dryers.
  • Ability to lead the Housekeeping team effectively.
