About the position

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper at McKibbon Hospitality plays a crucial role in the overall operations of the housekeeping team within the property. This position requires a close collaboration with the Executive Housekeeper, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is expected to uphold ethical leadership and be prepared to lead the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. This role is not only about managing the housekeeping staff but also involves a hands-on approach to daily housekeeping tasks as needed. In this position, you will be responsible for inspecting the property to ensure that safety and security measures are being upheld. You will assist in monitoring the overall performance of the housekeeping department, focusing on key areas such as guest satisfaction, brand quality assurance, budget management, and labor efficiency. Training fellow associates in accordance with brand and company standards is a critical aspect of this role, as it directly impacts revenue maximization and service quality. You will also be tasked with promoting brand and company standards through your actions and communications, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the organization's goals. Additionally, maintaining compliance with company policies and staying informed about new initiatives is essential for success in this role. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper must be proactive in addressing any issues that arise and be a source of support and guidance for the housekeeping team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily housekeeping skills as needed.

  • Train fellow associates as it relates to brand and company standards to maximize revenue.

Requirements

  • Experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols in a hospitality environment.
  • Ability to train and develop staff in accordance with brand standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to promote brand and company standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping.
  • Familiarity with budget management and labor efficiency in a hospitality setting.
