About the position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to guests while managing a team of housekeeping staff. The Executive Housekeeper will implement effective cleaning protocols, maintain inventory of supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality cleaning standards.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or peak occupancy periods.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints regarding cleanliness promptly and professionally.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in housekeeping management and hospitality best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hospitality or hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, floor care, and custodial practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
