About the position

The Assistant Executive Pastry Chef at Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, plays a crucial role in enhancing both employee and guest experiences through exceptional pastry preparation and service. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, control, and direct the work of employees in the pastry kitchen.
  • Assist in the planning and development of menus for the hotel.
  • Ensure correct preparation and presentation of all food items prepared in the pastry kitchen.
  • Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees in the pastry shop.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Set up control systems to assure quality and portion consistency.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to meet operational needs and attend regular operational meetings.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience in a luxury, fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Computer knowledge and good communication skills are necessary.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English is required.
