About the position

The Assistant Facility Manager at SP+ plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management of parking operations at the assigned location. This position focuses on ensuring that operations are conducted within contractual guidelines while fostering positive client relations and maintaining a professional image. The role involves supervising staff, managing financial and operational goals, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations.
  • Ensure appropriate customer interaction and supervise the completion of all evening closing reports.
  • Process bank deposits and schedule staff.
  • Supervise frontline staff including cashiers, valet attendants, and maintenance porters.
  • Prepare month-end reports and audit daily cashier shift reports.
  • Monitor and check time cards, hire and train frontline staff.
  • Review damage claims, disburse petty cash, and prepare the annual budget.
  • Assist customers by answering any questions they may have.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong customer orientation and positive attitude.
  • Ability to speak clearly, listen, and respond well to questions.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively, and read and interpret written information.
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment and ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
