The Assistant Facility Manager for Airport Transportation Services at SP+ plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management of parking operations at the assigned location. This role requires a proactive approach to managing operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a high standard of service delivery. In this position, the Assistant Facility Manager will participate in various programs aimed at improving client and customer satisfaction. They will engage in the development of financial and operational goals at the property level, assisting in the management of daily activities. This includes supervising frontline staff such as cashiers, valet attendants, and maintenance porters, ensuring appropriate customer interactions, and overseeing the completion of evening closing reports. The role also involves processing bank deposits, preparing month-end reports, auditing daily cashier shift reports, and monitoring time cards. Additionally, the Assistant Facility Manager will be responsible for hiring and training frontline staff, reviewing damage claims, disbursing petty cash, and preparing the annual budget. The Assistant Facility Manager will also assist customers by answering questions and providing information, as well as maintaining and repairing parking equipment and performing general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager. Reporting any known accidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences is a critical part of the role, as is assisting with the cleanup of debris and spills. A thorough knowledge of the garage areas and the surrounding major streets, landmarks, and freeways is essential for effective management and customer service. The Assistant Facility Manager will also support the Facility Manager with other duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of the parking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations.
  • Ensure appropriate customer interaction and supervise the completion of all evening closing reports.
  • Process bank deposits and schedule staff.
  • Supervise frontline staff including cashiers, valet attendants, and maintenance porters.
  • Prepare month-end reports and audit daily cashier shift reports.
  • Monitor and check time cards, hire and train frontline staff.
  • Review damage claims and disburse petty cash.
  • Prepare the annual budget.
  • Assist customers by answering any questions they may have.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong customer orientation and positive attitude.
  • Ability to speak clearly, listen, and respond well to questions.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively, and read and interpret written information.
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment and ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
