About the position

The Assistant Facility Manager for Valet Operations at SP Plus Corporation is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of valet services, ensuring excellent guest experiences and maintaining strong client relations. This role involves creating staffing schedules, training and coaching valet staff, and ensuring compliance with operational standards while promoting a professional image.

Responsibilities

• Participate in programs to improve client and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure guests receive timely and exceptional service by assisting them courteously and professionally.
• Drive, park, and retrieve guest vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Create staffing schedules based on anticipated vehicle volume.
• Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and ensure vehicle safety.
• Prepare and process daily paperwork according to audit compliance standards.
• Distinguish vehicle makes and models and have a general knowledge of vehicle operations.
• Ensure drive lanes and crosswalks are clean and safe.
• Report accidents, policy violations, and safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Assist with hiring, training, and coaching valet team members.
• Substitute for any position as necessary.
• Complete other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months of valet experience preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and hospitality background.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong guest orientation and positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
