About the position

The Assistant Facility Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Facility Manager in achieving quality standards and operational performance within the dialysis facility. This position emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and communication while maintaining a focus on customer needs and quality improvement. The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing direct care staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and contributing to the facility's quality assurance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model for quality improvement and operational management.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Manager to achieve operational goals.
  • Maintain a positive work environment focused on customer needs.
  • Evaluate and ensure adherence to patient care policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the facility's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Train staff on quality standards and methods to improve outcomes.
  • Monitor quality outcomes and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the hiring and evaluation of direct care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions for Coverage and prepare for surveys.
  • Coordinate staffing resources and manage emergency issues.

Requirements

  • Valid RN License in the state of Ohio.
  • 6 months of dialysis experience and 12 months of clinical nursing experience as an RN required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality care.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) process.
  • Experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • CNN or CDN preferred.
  • ACN experience preferred.
