About the position

As an Assistant Facility Manager at Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission and ensuring the smooth operation of facility management. You will be responsible for maintaining active communication with the employees you supervise and addressing any zero tolerance behaviors that may arise. Your role will involve receiving written work orders or verbal instructions to complete necessary repairs throughout the facility. In addition to repair work, you will conduct visual inspections of critical mechanical equipment, including boilers, pumps, and pipes, several times a day. This includes checking pressure and temperature meters and recording data in a log binder daily. You will also be responsible for identifying any leaks or unusual temperature extremes in equipment rooms and reporting these findings to your supervisor. Monthly fire drills will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and documenting the results. Daily checks of automatic locks and alarms will also be required to ensure safety and security within the facility. This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of care and service that Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare is known for, and you will be part of a dedicated team that has been serving the Westmoreland County community since 1980. Responsibilities

  • Support core values and maintain active communication with supervised employees.
  • Receive written work orders or verbal instructions to complete repairs.
  • Conduct visual inspections of boilers, pumps, pipes, and mechanical equipment throughout the campus several times per day.
  • Check pressure and temperature meters and record data in a log binder daily.
  • Identify and report any leakage or extremes in temperature in equipment rooms to the supervisor.
  • Conduct monthly fire drills and document results as per regulations.
  • Confirm that automatic locks and alarms are functioning properly on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) in RHVAC or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
