About the position

The Assistant Facility Manager plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management of parking operations at the assigned location. This position ensures that operations are conducted within contractual guidelines while fostering good client relations and maintaining a professional image. The role involves supervising staff, managing financial and operational goals, and assisting with various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations including ensuring appropriate customer interaction.
  • Supervise the completion of all evening closing reports and process bank deposits.
  • Schedule staff and supervise frontline staff (e.g. cashiers, valet attendants, maintenance porters, etc.).
  • Prepare month-end reports and audit daily cashier shift reports.
  • Monitor and check time cards, hire and train frontline staff, and review damage claims.
  • Disburse petty cash and prepare the annual budget.
  • Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong customer orientation and positive attitude.
  • Ability to speak clearly, listen, and respond well to questions.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively; able to read and interpret written information.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with unexpected events.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
