As an Assistant Facility Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of the assigned location, ensuring that parking operations are handled within the contractual guidelines of the specific location. This position fosters good client relations and promotes a professional image and approach to the business. You will assist in various operational tasks, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the facility's overall functionality. Your responsibilities will include participating in programs aimed at improving client and customer satisfaction, engaging in the development of property-level financial and operational goals, and assisting in the management of daily activities at the assigned location. This includes supervising frontline staff, preparing month-end reports, auditing daily cashier shift reports, and managing hiring and training processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing parking equipment, reporting any safety hazards, and assisting with general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager. Your role is essential in ensuring that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive experience for both clients and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations.
  • Ensure appropriate customer interaction and supervise the completion of all evening closing reports.
  • Process bank deposits and schedule staff.
  • Supervise frontline staff including cashiers, valet attendants, and maintenance porters.
  • Prepare month-end reports and audit daily cashier shift reports.
  • Monitor and check time cards, hire and train frontline staff.
  • Review damage claims and disburse petty cash.
  • Prepare the annual budget and assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong oral communication skills; speaks clearly and listens effectively.
  • Written communication skills; able to write clearly and interpret written information.
  • Strong customer orientation and positive attitude; able to respond to requests for service in a courteous manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with unexpected events.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
