About the position

The Assistant Facility Manager plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management of parking operations at the assigned location. This position ensures that operations are conducted within contractual guidelines while fostering good client relations and maintaining a professional image. The role involves supervising staff, managing customer interactions, and assisting with financial and operational goals to enhance client and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations, including supervising frontline staff and ensuring appropriate customer interaction.
  • Complete evening closing reports and process bank deposits.
  • Schedule staff and prepare month-end reports.
  • Audit daily cashier shift reports and monitor time cards.
  • Hire and train frontline staff, and review damage claims.
  • Disburse petty cash and prepare the annual budget.
  • Assist customers by answering questions and providing information.
  • Maintain and repair parking equipment and perform general maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Report accidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris and spills.
  • Have thorough knowledge of the garage area and major streets.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong oral communication skills; able to listen and respond to questions clearly.
  • Written communication skills; able to write clearly and interpret written information.
  • Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with unexpected events.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
