About the position

As the Assistant Facility Manager at Clients ATP Facility, you will play a key role in overseeing a dynamic 24-hour operation focused on enhancing metals recovery and product quality. This position requires a proactive approach to managing a workforce of 25-30 employees, ensuring efficient operations within the annual budget, and maintaining high standards of safety and product quality. You will work closely with the leadership team to implement strategies that optimize production processes and improve overall operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include supervising and guiding production, maintenance, supervisory, and administrative staff. This involves tasks related to hiring, discipline, and terminations as needed. You will also be responsible for managing the ATP facility's profit and loss by optimizing production and recovery processes, enhancing employee and equipment productivity, and controlling operational expenses. Additionally, you will oversee the procurement of sales and containers, coordinating outbound shipments to ensure timely monthly sales and adherence to delivery schedules. Quality assurance is a critical aspect of this role, as you will ensure that outbound products meet customer quality standards. Collaborating with the marketing team to address and resolve issues with feedstock will be essential to maintaining high customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you will lead initiatives to improve safety and environmental compliance, actively engaging in safety programs and ensuring adherence to landfill, stormwater, and other environmental regulations. Maintenance management will also fall under your purview, where you will oversee the maintenance of equipment, manage spare parts inventory, and coordinate preventative and emergency maintenance to protect capital investments and minimize unplanned downtime. You will be responsible for accurately tracking and reporting production volumes and financial results, utilizing spreadsheets and IT systems to ensure precise pricing and inventory management. Finally, you will perform other responsibilities as assigned by senior management, contributing to the overall success of the facility.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though experienced manufacturing leaders are encouraged to apply regardless of formal education.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience managing production processes and teams in an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management in order to direct maintenance employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster trust and confidence across all organizational levels.
