About the position

ABM Industries is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Facility Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of all aspects of parking operations, including staffing, facility management, revenue optimization, and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our clients and patrons. As an Assistant Facility Manager, you will play a crucial role in strategic planning and management, ensuring that location initiatives are adhered to and enforced to optimize parking operations and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for ensuring that performance goals and objectives are met for the parking team, aligning with organizational objectives and client expectations. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics will be essential to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Your responsibilities will also include staffing and training, where you will train a team of parking attendants, valet leads, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. You will provide ongoing coaching and training opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance, as well as assist with staffing schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the parking facility. In terms of facility operations, you will assist in the day-to-day management of parking facilities, including entrance and exit management, valet services, traffic flow optimization, and maintenance activities. Enforcing parking policies, regulations, and safety protocols will be critical to ensure compliance by patrons and staff. You will coordinate with maintenance and janitorial teams to address facility maintenance and cleanliness issues promptly. Revenue management will also be a key aspect of your role, where you will audit, review, and enforce parking payment systems, including cash handling procedures, credit card processing, and mobile payment options. Analyzing revenue trends and performance data will help identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization. Lastly, fostering a customer-centric culture will be paramount, ensuring that all staff members provide courteous and efficient service to patrons. You will address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed expectations and implementing service improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and satisfaction surveys. You may also perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in parking management software systems and technology solutions.
