About the position

The Assistant Finance Manager position at ASR Group is a key role within the Refinery Finance team, focusing on month-end close processes and providing financial expertise to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Responsibilities

• Serve as a problem-solving and analytical resource for the Finance Manager, Plant Manager, and plant leadership team.
• Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes including month-end accruals, purchase orders outstanding analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and presentation slides.
• Learn to use the SAP ERP, Financial Planning, and Procure to Pay software systems.
• Create weekly metrics and support the Capital Asset and Approval for Expenditure process and the annual budget and business planning process.
• Understand the manufacturing process and economics of the plant.
• Assist the Finance Manager and plant leadership teams to improve EBITDA of the company.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance and Accounting OR Licensed CPA with 2+ years public accounting experience OR CMA with 4+ years cost accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• MBA or Advanced degrees preferred as well as a CPA (non-public accounting certification) or CMA.
