About the position

Position Overview: Are you someone who excels in financial management and enjoys working in a dynamic environment? We are seeking an Assistant Controller for our Finance Department in Dublin, Ohio. In this role, you will support the Controller in managing overall financial operations, including Accounts Payable and Payroll, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting in budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights, enhance profitability, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all accounting functions. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Controller with month-end closing processes, prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis. Supervise month-end and daily reporting as well as general ledger reconciliation. Facilitate the annual audit by providing data requests and responding to inquiries. Implement and document internal controls, processes, and routines. Review employee reimbursements and mileage. Oversee and manage account reconciliation and support general ledger closing activities. Manage accounts payable processing, ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, assist in Human Resource procedures, maintain the filing, organization, and confidentiality of all accounting records. Identify and communicate areas of improvement regarding operations to management. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the accounting team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong follow-through
  • Professionalism in appearance and conduct
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
