About the position
The Assistant Fitness Manager at lulafit plays a crucial role in enhancing the member experience at the Ignite Fitness Center located in downtown Chicago. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing fitness center operations, coordinating personal training and group fitness sessions, and fostering tenant satisfaction through engagement and innovative programs. The role also involves collaborating with the building's management and operations teams to ensure a well-maintained facility and a vibrant community atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Support the operational strategy and management of the fitness center.
- Coordinate and administer personal training and small group training sessions.
- Plan and lead group fitness classes for members.
- Manage payment for memberships and sessions, upselling and cross-selling where appropriate.
- Support tours of the fitness center spaces to interested tenants.
- Engage with tenants to understand their needs and preferences, implementing strategies to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with building maintenance and operations teams to ensure facility upkeep.
Requirements
- 1+ years experience in a fitness center environment or as a personal trainer.
- Valid Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in corporate fitness or wellness sector.
- Comfortable teaching multiple formats of group fitness classes.
