About the position

The Assistant for Retired Creatives is a part-time, ad-hoc role based in Palm Springs, designed to support retired technology creatives with various tasks that they either cannot or prefer not to handle themselves. The position requires flexibility, as the workload averages around 5 hours per week and varies based on project needs. The assistant will perform a range of duties, including research, project management, and vendor sourcing, with a strong preference for candidates who can be on-site quickly for urgent tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex tasks and research as needed.
• Manage projects and coordinate various activities.
• Perform errands and find vendors for specific needs.
• Complete tasks that can be done off-site, while also being available for on-site presence when required.

Requirements

• 1099 reported contract position with no employees.
• At least one year of residency in the Coachella Valley.
• Proficiency in Apple computers and phones, including OSX and iOS.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and ZOOM.
• Advanced internet searching skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent time management and calendar skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional discretion and confidentiality.
• Minimum of 5 years of paid relevant experience.
• Project coordination skills and experience.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Professional appearance and grooming standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience is a plus.
