About the position

The Assistant Fund Controller will play a crucial role in the financial management and reporting of the fund. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can assist in the preparation of financial statements, manage the accounting processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Assistant Fund Controller will work closely with the Fund Controller and other team members to support the overall financial operations of the fund. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for the fund.
  • Manage the accounting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and process transactions accurately.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support the Fund Controller in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in audits and ensure all financial activities are accurately recorded.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in fund management.
