About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Wooden Paddle is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This role focuses on developing a high-performing front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staffing and labor costs, and maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment. The AGM plays a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and driving the restaurant's success through effective leadership and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Hire & develop a high-performing front-of-house team.
• Deliver 'Good-Time' hospitality to every guest.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
• Manage staffing levels and labor costs effectively.
• Maintain clean and presentable dining rooms.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of high-volume restaurant experience in an Assistant General Manager role or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or similar preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Open availability and ability to work 45+ hours per week.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Current ServSafe Manager & BASSET Certifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Toast POS, SevenRooms, and 7shifts.
