About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, hospitality, or food service management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing kitchen activities, and ensuring high-quality service standards while instilling a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant
• Supervise and train staff members to ensure high-quality service standards
• Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and safety protocols
• Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members
• Implement inventory control procedures to optimize food and beverage costs
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute business strategies
• Run 'the floor' overseeing all elements of restaurant operations and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Instill the core value of Always Get Better (AGB) into the team and operations
• Assist in the marketing of the business, including attending networking events

Requirements

• Proven experience in restaurant management, hospitality management, or food service management
• Previous work as an Assistant Manager is preferred
• Valid ServSafe certification is appreciated
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in customer service best practices
• Knowledge of kitchen operations and food service industry standards
• Ability to conduct interviews and make hiring decisions
• Experience in inventory control and cost management
