About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Taco Bell is a key managerial role responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving team performance. The AGM supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in managing financial controls, operations, and people development while maintaining compliance and achieving desired restaurant outcomes. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to coach and develop team members, and a commitment to creating a positive work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by resolving customer issues and demonstrating positive interactions.
  • Assisting the RGM in coaching the management team on proper execution of operational standards.
  • Managing scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for customer needs.
  • Using knowledge of competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Supporting the RGM in training and developing team members effectively.
  • Partnering with the RGM to execute the bench plan process for team development.
  • Utilizing training resources to build and retain strong teams.
  • Demonstrating positive energy to motivate the team and drive performance.
  • Coaching the team to proactively resolve problems and improve restaurant culture.
  • Possessing strong analytical skills to address broader restaurant issues and make decisions in the RGM's absence.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including customers and team members.
  • Encouraging recognition and appreciation among team members to foster a positive environment.
  • Planning and organizing brand processes to ensure completion during shifts.
  • Assisting in profit and loss management and analyzing financial performance.

Requirements

  • Previous management or 2+ years of customer service/fast food experience (highly preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED (highly preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow procedures.
  • Must pass background check criteria.
  • Safety-focused, punctual, team-oriented, respectful, and motivated.
  • Open to working weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 90 lbs up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of cash handling safety and security procedures.
