About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Monet: The Immersive Experience is a part-time role focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing staff and operations. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that guests are welcomed and attended to safely and respectfully, overseeing various aspects of the exhibition and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Staff recruitment, training, and scheduling
  • Exhibit supervision at key points including box office, VR, and retail
  • Cash handling with accuracy and consistency
  • Following all procedures for promotional activities
  • Answering guest queries, suggestions and/or complaints
  • Adhering to and monitoring staff and guests' adherence to all Covid safety procedures
  • Performing any other duties which enhance the guest experience

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, speak and effectively understand the English language
  • Availability to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Above average communication skills
  • Safety conscious and outgoing
  • Willingness to actively engage guests
  • Ability to learn and understand Monet's works and history
  • Commitment to providing the best in guest experience and staff management
  • Venue, leisure, or retail experience in a role of responsibility
  • Previous experience in a customer or guest service environment
  • Experience in cash handling
  • General knowledge and/or enthusiasm for the arts
  • Flexible, positive, and proactive attitude
