About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Ampler dba Taco Bell is a key managerial role responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving team performance. The AGM supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in managing financial controls, employee development, and compliance, while also stepping in for the RGM when necessary. This position emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and maintaining high operational standards to achieve desired restaurant outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction through positive interactions and immediate resolution of customer issues.
  • Assisting the RGM in coaching the management team on proper execution of customer service standards.
  • Managing scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for customer needs.
  • Teaching the management team effective training processes for new team members.
  • Partnering with the RGM to execute the bench plan process for team development.
  • Utilizing training resources to build and retain strong teams.
  • Following up on Team Member training completion and current status.
  • Supporting recruitment and selection of team members.
  • Evaluating and developing team members in collaboration with the RGM.
  • Building capability through cross-training team members.
  • Demonstrating positive energy to motivate the team and drive performance.
  • Championing company culture and mentoring team members.
  • Identifying and addressing broader restaurant problems beyond shift issues.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including customers and team members.
  • Utilizing recognition tools to appreciate team efforts and create incentives for performance.
  • Planning and organizing brand processes and routines during shifts.
  • Assisting in profit and loss management and analyzing financial performance.

Requirements

  • Previous management or 2+ years of customer service/fast food experience (highly preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED (highly preferred).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to pass background check criteria.
  • Safety-focused, punctual, team-oriented, respectful, and motivated.
  • Open to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to arrive to work on time.
  • Flexible scheduling availability.
  • Ability to follow procedures regarding restaurant equipment operation.
  • Regular access to a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 90 lbs up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to follow cash handling safety and security procedures.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Company and Brand HR policies and practices.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
