About the position

LA Fitness is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join their team. This role is crucial in driving membership growth and ensuring an exceptional experience for members. The AGM will assist the Membership Director in managing daily operations, leading a team, and implementing effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure member satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist in developing and executing membership sales strategies, including promotional campaigns and community outreach efforts to attract new members.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise membership sales staff to ensure high levels of service and performance, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Support the Membership Director with daily operational tasks, including reporting, scheduling, and managing membership records.
  • Conduct tours of the facility for prospective members and actively engage with current members to promote programs and services.
  • Represent LA Fitness at community events to promote the gym and drive membership growth.
  • Monitor sales metrics and member retention rates, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and membership management software.
  • A passion for fitness and a commitment to helping others achieve their health goals.
