About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Ella Coffee House will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. This role is crucial for leading a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on fine dining and catering services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Lead, train, and develop staff to deliver outstanding service and enhance team performance.
• Oversee catering and banquet services, ensuring events run smoothly and meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to implement operational strategies that drive profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage supplies, and assist in ordering as needed.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Support marketing initiatives to promote restaurant offerings and special events.
• Create functional staff scheduling.
• Be flexible to cover all positions of the front and back of house.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hospitality management or restaurant management is essential.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Experience in training development for staff at various levels.
• Familiarity with catering and banquet operations is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with guests and staff alike.
• A passion for fine dining experiences and exceptional customer service is highly desirable.
