About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Taco Bell is a key leadership role responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in achieving financial and operational goals. The AGM plays a crucial role in team development, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards of service and compliance. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by resolving issues and coaching the management team.
  • Assisting the RGM with scheduling to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Partnering with the RGM to complete and execute the bench plan process for team development.
  • Using training resources to build and retain strong teams.
  • Demonstrating positive energy to motivate the team and drive performance.
  • Possessing strong analytical skills to address broader restaurant problems.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and team members to provide clear direction.
  • Utilizing recognition tools to appreciate team efforts and create incentives.

Requirements

  • Previous management or 2+ years of customer service/fast food experience (highly preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED (highly preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and good communication skills.
  • Ability to pass background check criteria.
  • Safety-focused, punctual, team-oriented, respectful, and motivated.
  • Open to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 90 lbs up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of cash handling safety and security procedures.
