About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Sanctuary Medicinals plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager (GM) to create a positive environment for both patients and staff. This position involves overseeing the operations and profitability of a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center (MMTC) in Florida, assisting in personnel management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The AGM acts as the leader in the absence of the GM and is responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the recruiting, developing, and terminating of MODs and MMTC Associates.
  • Ensuring operational excellence through inventory and labor controls.
  • Serving as a Brand Ambassador for the Sanctuary brand and customer service.
  • Celebrating and recognizing successful moments daily.
  • Helping attain location goals such as sales estimates and revenue projections.
  • Ensuring compliance with company and industry regulations.
  • Maintaining safety and cleanliness standards at the location.
  • Managing a budget and ensuring operations stay within it.
  • Monitoring P&L reports, payroll, and overhead costs.
  • Addressing operational problems and appraising the GM.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service levels consistently.
  • Becoming familiar with all tasks and duties of the General Manager.
  • Making recommendations to the GM when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college/university preferred.
  • 2 years of retail management experience in a high-volume sales environment or equivalent education.
  • Quantitative aptitude and experience managing budgets.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with all legal and company regulations for the industry.
  • Must pass all required background and fingerprint checks.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is required.
