About the position

The Assistant General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton DFW North plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the hotel, acting as the second in command. This position involves collaborating with department heads to implement hotel policies, addressing guest inquiries, and supporting the General Manager in administrative tasks. The role requires a proactive approach to management and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Interview and hire new employees.
  • Receive and resolve guest complaints.
  • Assign duties to department heads and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  • Support the General Manager in establishing and monitoring policies and guidelines in the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
  • Act as General Manager in their absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of management experience in the hotel industry.
  • Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, and understanding.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, local Department of Health regulations, and laws governing hazardous substances.
