About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Lagoon Ranch RV Resort plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the resort, focusing on guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, and adherence to brand standards. This position is integral to the successful launch and ongoing management of the resort, which is set to open in early 2025 on the scenic Lake Livingston.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the general manager with the operational and financial management of the property.
  • Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements.
  • Verifies that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
  • Acts on guest and resident requests seeking resolution.
  • Delivers and leads strong customer service and operational practices.
  • Enforces resort rules and standards.
  • Assists RV Resort Manager with administrative duties and tasks.
  • Works shifts and supports various departments as needed.
  • Assists with the employee life cycle of recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and mentoring.
  • Supervises employees in the assigned department(s).
  • Assists with delivering profitable results and operating within budgeted guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations.
  • Maintains current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state and federal agencies.
  • Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the Resort.
  • Meets goals for projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction.
  • Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement.
  • Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Must have flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in RV resort management or similar outdoor hospitality settings.
  • Knowledge of local regulations regarding resort operations.
