About the position

The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for enhancing guest experiences and optimizing daily restaurant operations. This role involves leading and mentoring a team to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment, whether managing a national brand or a local concept.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by upholding high service standards with every interaction.
  • Greet guests with a friendly smile and maintain attentive service throughout their dining experience.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns to ensure a memorable experience.
  • Assist with bussing tables, taking carryout orders, and restocking display cases as needed.
  • Utilize seating charts for efficient rotation and record seating times to seat guests promptly.
  • Coordinate with wait staff and other restaurant personnel to create a seamless guest experience.
  • Perform cashier duties as needed, ensuring accurate transactions and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, mopping, and hazard prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and operational success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong English communication skills for clear interactions with guests, team members, and management.
  • Basic math skills with experience in cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts in a 7-day, 365-day operation.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a dynamic environment with temperature fluctuations.
